Virtual Skipper 2 is the latest version of the highly acclaimed regatta simulator that boasts real-time 3D graphics and a realistic simulation. The game immerses players into the sights and sounds of top-level regattas with real-time arbitration of racing rules.
Players can choose to play alone and race against their computer, against one opponent on split-screen or multiple opponents on a local area network or the Internet, with 8 players per race. Four highly-responsive boats are available: Melges 24TM, Offshore Racer, ACCTM (America’s CupTM Class), and Open 60 trimaran, the “Formula 1” racer of the seas.
Players have the option to select among the world's most beautiful waters, from Quiberon Bay in France, The Needles in England, Hauraki Gulf in New Zealand, San Francisco Bay in the United States, to Porto Cervo in Italy, which are all faithfully reproduced in 3D.
Once players take the helm of their chosen boat, they'll experience their sails fluttering and filling with wind, puffs and lulls cavorting on the water's surface, and crew members diligently fulfilling their roles on the deck.
Steer carefully, test the wind and follow the race rules as you embark on the world's largest sailing community, comprising over 120,000 players from all over the world.
