VocableTrainerX is the perfect software for anyone looking to learn a foreign language. Unlike other cumbersome programs, this software is lightweight and easy to learn. With it, you can easily input vocables in two languages, and start a quiz to help you learn and memorize them.
Adding vocables is straightforward, just click on "Add Vocable" on the toolbar, and a drawer will open up allowing you to enter the word in both languages, as well as the lesson it belongs to. The lesson stays open, allowing you to enter more vocables within one session.
When you're ready to test yourself, you can either select a specific set of vocables using "Start quiz with selection," or choose to test all of them by selecting "Start quiz." This gives you the flexibility to choose the lessons you want to be tested on and the order of the languages you will be asked.
When you're in the quiz, the software presents you with the vocable in one language, and you can enter your guess in the other. If you're right, simply press the "Right guess" button, and if you're wrong, press the "Wrong guess" button. The software will then present the next vocable for you to guess.
At the end of the quiz, you'll have the option to repeat the ones you missed. In the main list of vocables, you can see how well you know each vocable. There's an R, representing the number of right guesses, and a T, representing the total number of guesses.
Additionally, there's a traffic light control on the right, which will show green if you knew the vocable in over two-thirds of your attempts, red if you knew it in less than one-third, and white if you haven't tried it yet. The software also allows you to filter, delete, sort, copy and paste your vocables, or export them into a CSV file.
