WebNMS Simulation Toolkit

The WebNMS Simulation Tool is an intuitive and user-friendly software that provides both an agent simulator and network simulator for effective network management application testing, training, and demonstration. The network simulator allows the simulation of more than 100,000 devices of different types like SNMP (v1, v2c, v3), TL1, TFTP, FTP, Telnet, and Cisco IOS, all on a single PC. The Topology Editor tool makes it easy to create inter-connections across routers, switches, and other network devices, and visualize the relationship between them.

The Simulation Toolkit provided by WebNMS includes both Network Recorder and Trap Recorder, which enable the recording and replaying of actual SNMP networks and traps, and create simulations of actual network devices. The software allows the configuration of devices at runtime on both an individual and collective basis. There are many features that can be used to modify device properties like IPv4 or IPv6 address, port number, and MIB values. The software also provides the ability to perform advanced modeling of agent/network behavior and trap generation, as well as customization of SNMP response and request PDUs.
