To allow Tomcat to write in the directory, users must change the permission or owner of the directory. Once done, copy the war file to the relevant location, which is $TOMCAT-PATH/webapp or deploy the war.
To change the database connection settings, go to wtp/WEB-INF/classes/properties/hibernate.cfg.xml. Similarly, change the path by going to wtp/WEB-INF/classes/properties/wtp.properties to modify the file upload directory settings.
