WeiLiYu is a game designed for individuals who wish to improve their pinyin and Chinese reading skills. It's a freely available game written in Java, making it accessible to anyone with Java 1.4 or higher. The game's objective is to feed koi fish, and this is where the game gets its name.

Players must feed the koi fish with the correct pinyin and Chinese characters that pop up on the game screen. If a character is missed, it gets recorded, and the player is shown up to ten of the characters they missed most frequently at the end of the game. This feature is a great way for learners to study and improve on their weaknesses before playing the game again.

WeiLiYu has a limited character library selection, but users can create their custom libraries. It is effortless to create a library; each .wly file is just a plain text file, making it easy to edit and customize the game according to the user's preferences.

In this release, the encoding and error detection have been tightened. A bug that caused blank lines resulting in the failure to load libraries has also been fixed. These upgrades improve the user's gaming experience as they encounter fewer errors and glitches during gameplay.
