This Adium script detects your WiFi network and provides the option to name it through alias creation.
As a frequent user of Adium, I came across the Wifi-Alias Adium script which I found to be absolutely amazing. Not only does it replace the insertion of "%_wifi" with the network alias that you are currently connected to, but it also provides you with the means to automatically extend your screen name with the current wifi network alias. So, if your name is Peter and you are connected to your home wifi network, your screen name will be "Peter @ home".
To utilize this feature when editing your screen name, simply insert the "%_wifi" placeholder within it. Additionally, if you need to change the alias of your current wifi network within a conversation, all you have to do is enter "%_change_wifi{new alias}" and it will automatically update. All in all, I highly recommend the Wifi-Alias Adium script to anyone who values seamless and automatic convenience in their online communications.
