Wmlife is a dock app that also functions as a program launcher. But that's not all, it also runs one of the most fascinating games in computer history, Conway's Game of Life. The game is based on a grid of square cells, where each cell can either be alive or dead. The game rules work in a way that you count the live neighbours for each cell to determine whether a cell survives or not. There are three distinct outcomes, which are Birth, Survival, and Overcrowding/Loneliness. A cell with exactly three live neighbours becomes alive, which is known as Birth. A live cell with two or three live neighbours stays alive, known as Survival. In all other cases, a cell dies or remains dead, which is known as Overcrowding/Loneliness.

As Life is typically implemented on an infinite board, its grid stretches infinitely. However, due to certain size constraints, wmlife implemented the grid's shape as a torus. With this concept, the grid wraps at the edges from top to bottom and left to right, allowing the game to smoothly continue. In conclusion, wmlife is an incredible software application that provides not only program launchers, but also a great way to explore and play the intriguing game, Conway's Game of Life.
