Word War vi is a traditional side-scrolling, '80s-style arcade game with shooting and attacking enemies as its primary objective.
Word War vi is a new software that gives you the chance to explore the world of side-scrolling shoot 'em up '80s style arcade games. With this game, you'll fly your "vi"per craft through core memory, rescuing lost .swp files while avoiding OS defenses and wiping out memory hogging emacs processes. Once you’ve successfully rescued all the lost .swp files, you'll head for the socket, which will take you to the next node in the cluster.
The game is easy to control, with 'q' serving as the button to put in a quarter and start the game. You can use the arrow keys or the classic "vi's hjkl keys" to control your moves, while 'z' or spacebar works as the fire signal number -9 (lazer). Additionally, 'b' allows you to inject a NULL pointer into the execution stream, dropping a bomb, and 'c' lets you fork to evade pursuers (throws chaff). If you need to advance to a new level, you can use 'A' (this feature is mainly for debugging), and press '9' if you want to commit suicide (also just for debugging).
