Xr3

Xr3 is a package of Linux tools that are specifically designed for the RedRat2 serial port based Learning IR Remote Control. Originally created for use with a ReplayTV Personal Video Recorder (PVR), Xr3 has now been expanded to support any kind of IR controlled Audio/Visual equipment. The package is well-rounded, comprised of the following tools:

- mr3: a Control Panel Driver that uses the Motif Toolkit
- gr3: a Control Panel Driver that uses Gtk
- p2rr: a Pronto to RedRat2 IR record converter
- rrDecode: a RedRat2 IR record decoder
- testRedRat: a very simple RedRat2 test program
- tvChannelSelector: a simple TV channel selector, complete with nice icons
- mkTVchannelSelector: a tool designed to help make TV channel panels for the above

Additionally, a separate ReplayTV package is available, which includes replaySearch, a command line tool for driving the ReplayTV search engine, and replaySearchTool, a GUI created to make searching for shows easy and intuitive.
