The lead developer, Atlus, vanishes as the release date approaches. Come to find out, he was using your talents to aid terrorist networks, all of which have paid top dollar for the "ultimate" operating system.

With your reputation (and your freedom) on the line, you are given one of the beta systems to try to hack into as many of these bootleg systems as possible to trace it back to Atlus before a terrorist network can gain the momentum to launch a massive attack on the United States.
