ZZplayer is a MPEG player that is designed specifically for the KDE environment. It is extremely versatile, supporting Mpeg I video, MP3 and VCD formats. As a player based on the popular SMPEG library, ZZplayer comes equipped with a range of advanced features.
Users can enjoy a seamless looped playback of video content, opt for audio-free play, resize videos to suit their preferences, or view them in fullscreen mode. ZZplayer requires Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL) 1.1.7 or newer, SMPEG 0.4.2 or newer, and KDE 1.1.2 and Qt 1.4x, if a user wants to utilize the KDE GUI.
For Gnome users, ZZplayer requires the Gnome GUI. This latest release of ZZplayer brings with it several new features and upgrades. Users will appreciate the newly added KDE playlist, better compatibility with Solaris, improved VCD support, and the availability of more translations.
