This plug is extremely useful whenever you are filming against a bright background (e.g. white) and want to eliminate shadows (for later matting effects) or eliminate slight irregularities in a background. you can also use it to change the color of a bright background to any color you like.
Note that there is a second plug called 'below threshold' that does the opposite: set all pixels that are below a certain level to a color you specify.
area of effect:
define the area of the clip you want to be affected by the plug-in. all other parts of the clip remain untouched.
choose the color that a pixel that exceeds the threshold shall assume.
red, green, blue:
set a threshold for each channel red, green, and blue. note that a pixel must exceed all three levels to trigger the effect.
AND all channels:
the default method for testing against the red, green, and blue threshold is that all channels must exceed their thresholds. if you uncheck this box, it is enough that at least one channel is above the threshold.
