AC3 audio playback now supported for AVI files.
However, before you can use AC3 Codec, you'll need to have DivX 5.1 installed on your computer. This will allow QuickTime to correctly load AVI files.
Once you have DivX 5.1 installed, adding AC3 Codec is a breeze. If you're on MacOS X, simply drop "AC3 Codec.component" into the /Library/QuickTime folder. If you're using MacOS 8.x/9.x, drop "AC3 Codec" into your Extensions folder and restart your computer.
From there, you can open any AVI file with AC3 audio and enjoy flawless playback. It really is that simple. So if you're tired of struggling to play AC3 audio in your AVI files, give AC3 Codec a try and experience the difference for yourself.
