AcetoneISO simplifies mounting *.iso files.
One of the features of AcetoneISO is its ability to mount and unmount ISO and MDF files (if iso-9660 standard). Moreover, it allows you to convert BIN/CUE, MDF, DAT, NRG, CCD/IMG, CDI, XBOX to ISO. Burning ISO, CUE, TOC images directly in K3b is also made possible. Additionally, it is capable of verifying md5sum of image files and creating ISO from Folder and CD/DVD.
AcetoneISO allows you to mount, unmount, create ISO from Folder or CD/DVD from servicemenu. Playing a DVD-Movie ISO with Kaffeine, Mplayer or VLC from GUI or servicemenu (only kaffeine) is also possible. Splitting ISOs into smaller files and merging them is yet another benefit that comes with the software. Finally, it allows you to force the mount/eject of a CD/DVD media in your device.
The software requires Kommander to function. The latest release comes with several new features such as the ability to extract and browse ISO, MDF, BIN, IMG, DAA, and NRG files without mounting them. It also added support for mounting NRG images (if iso9660 standard). Viewing an MDF/NRG dvd movie image (if iso9660 standard) and converting DAA/BIN/IMG files larger than 4gb is now possible.
The update also made some changes such as adding more images in filters of all gui features and removing bchunk, ccd2iso and replacing them with poweriso. Creating an ISO will now result in a more standard LEVEL 3, and creating an ISO from a cdrom is more clear now as a fake progbar from konsole was added.
