This software automates several tasks like copying, moving, downloading, uploading, launching, terminating, recording, playing back macros, sending and receiving emails.
Recently, I stumbled upon a software named ACTION Process Automator that has left me in sheer awe. It is an extremely useful software that can automate predetermined tasks once the computer is turned on and Windows is loaded.
Functionality:
ACTION Process Automator provides a wide variety of built-in tasks that include copying/moving files and directories. It supports wildcards, exclusion, overwrite/freshen, archive bits, hidden and system files. You can also create destination folders that are automatically named with unique names that include the date/time stamp.
Moreover, the software allows you to download files from the internet, including secured access FTP file transfer (upload or download), and monitor and shut off stalled applications. Additionally, you can launch applications with or without command line parameters, record, and play back TASQ Recorder macros, send and receive emails with attachments, and rename folders with an option to name them at runtime, including the date/time stamp.
Moreover, the software can delete folders with the 'older than' option, execute VBScripts, terminate running applications, restarts Windows, and print reports. Furthermore, it can zip and unzip files while supporting passwords, updates, freshen, archive bit, system, and hidden files. It also allows new archives to be named at runtime with an embedded date/time stamp.
ACTION Process Automator is versatile enough to attach/detach network servers and map/unmap network drives. You can also set the date of files, dial phone numbers, and set the computer clock to the atomic clock. Additionally, the software allows conditional execution, which is a great feature for advanced users.
Ease of use:
Using ACTION Process Automator is a hassle-free experience. Once loaded, the software stays in the system tray, and a double-click on the icon opens up an interface where you can add, edit or view actions. You can schedule a series of actions leaving enough time between them to finish the prior one before the next starts. When in doubt, press F1, and the online help will provide expert advice.
Conclusion:
I would highly recommend ACTION Process Automator to anyone who needs to automate certain tasks at work or home. It is an easy-to-use software that comes with a wide variety of built-in tasks and features to ensure complete automation of your daily routine.
