This ActiveX control adds sound waveform analysis to multimedia apps and allows real-time waveform scrolling during playback. It works with third-party multimedia libraries.

Users can expect native decoding capabilities for many audio formats, while also leveraging Microsoft Media Foundation and Microsoft DirectShow for decoding and analysis of audio and video formats not supported natively. Furthermore, this component can be integrated with existing third-party audio libraries like Leadtools Multimedia SDK, BASS, and FMOD.
One of the most notable features of the Active Waveform Analyzer is its deep analysis at different resolutions of a sound's waveform. The component also offers rich and fully configurable visualization capabilities with the ability to perform range selection, zooming and panning. Users can expect a fully configurable waveform scroller, as well as support for adding custom and configurable graphic items to the displayed waveform.
Users can also expect support for drawing the waveform representation inside a graphical device context (HDC), as well as saving the waveform representation into a graphic file. Being an ActiveX control, this component can also be instanced inside HTML code for analyzing media files from the client browser directly.
Overall, the Active Waveform Analyzer is a powerful addition to any developer's toolkit, easy to integrate with third-party audio libraries, and comes with a dedicated Visual Editor for easy configuration of the control's user interface at design-time.
