The Zodiac GPS chipset v 2.x is now supported with NMEA extension.
The previous version 1.1.x for MapPoint 2001 is also offered with various features. It includes Variable GPS refresh rate, 'Route from current GPS position' (click on the compass or press 'R'), and Average Ground Speed, Elevation, Location in the selectable unit. Additionally, this version provides various features like display speed in Mph, Kmh or Knots, elevation in meter or feet, Heading Information, GPS Time (Atomic clock), GPS State and Satellite View.
MapPoint 2001 also offers features like Plot Trail to plot a trace on the map with advanced pushpin notes, Push a pin in the compass menu for people just want to lay a pushpin on the current location, and Raw CSV trace note output format option. Its intuitive design with shift-less, Alt-less shortcut keys and tool tips hint make it easy to navigate.
Finally, the Automatic Start AGPS when MapPoint starts if you left AGPS opened while you shutdown MapPoint last time, and Semi-automatic track current position on the map (v 1.x only) make MapPoint 2001 an ideal software solution for those on-the-go.
