Advanced SmartCheck 4.2 is a software that monitors networked PCs' hard drives using S.M.A.R.T. technology to predict drive failure and prevent data loss. It alerts users of potential disk health problems before data is lost.
With the prediction settings feature, users get the latest information about their hard drives' health and performance. Network Administrators can easily monitor each hard drive and detect the nearest T.E.C. of any hard drive that could pose a potential risk for valuable data loss.
By predicting the possible hard drive failure, the user or system manager is given sufficient time to replace suspect devices, back up pertinent data or even avoid unwanted downtimes. S.M.A.R.T. monitors over 30 attributes of the hard drive, including disk performance, disk spin-up time, temperature, and CRC errors. These features enable users to detect almost 70% of hard drive errors.
Advanced SmartCheck Tray client is equivalent to a watchful eye that shows the temperature of the most heated hard drive. By pointing the mouse on the icon, the ASC Tray client displays a hint with temperatures for all hard drives. Additionally, the tray client can also notify users when a hard drive's temperature exceeds the pre-set threshold, via WinPopup or Event Log.
Ultimately, the program's settings can be changed by an Administrator without any difficulty. Advanced SmartCheck 4.2 is a must-have tool for any Network Administrator, providing smart and efficient monitoring capabilities that ultimately help prevent any unwanted loss of valuable data.

MSI installer for ASC Client
Version 2.1:
Service client allows to monitor not logged-in computers.
Admin's workplace can find all the clients automatically sending the UDP broadcasts.
Version 2.0: Service client allows to monitor not logged-in computers.
Version 1.6:
Automatically determination of Hard drive working time measurement units.
Added information about Logical drives stored on a physical drive.
Correct drive size measurement for drives bigger than 120 GB.
ASC can play sound when a drive with a dangerous attribute found.
Version 1.5:
In Advanced SmartCheck Administrator's workplace:
-Startup page of the Options window allows to run ASC during Windows start for All or Current user, start ASC minimized and work in the "silent" mode.
-ASC Admin's workplace minimizes to the System Tray.
-WinPopup alerts to selected computer and to the owner of the HDD with a critical value of T.E.C. (see Alerts page on the Options window)
-Balloon hint on the Admin's computer with a list of drives, going to dead.
-HDD list in the Administrator's workplace shows the last measured temperatures of the client's computers and highlights "hot" drives.
In Advanced SmartCheck Tray Client:
-Notification by WinPopup will be sent to selected workstation when one of the drives will reach the temperature threshold.
-You can add a record to the Windows Event log on the local workstation.
-The S.M.A.R.T. data for the Administrator's workplace is not generated if local computer runs less than 30 minutes. This gives the drives to reach some constant S.M.A.R.T. values (for example - temperature).
-Added displaying the balloon hint with current drives temperature on clicking tray icon by left mouse button. If the system can't display balloons, the dialog message is shown.
Version 1.3:
Added Advanced SmartCheck Tray client.
SMART data files can be collected from the multiple folders.
