aedGUI: SDL-compatible, cross-platform C++ GUI library.
Before getting started, there are some requirements to keep in mind. First and foremost, aedGUI needs SDL 1.2.5 and FreeType 2.0 libraries to function correctly. However, if you do not have SDL_ttf, need not worry as an internal copy will be used. Additionally, the installation of SDL_rtf can enable you to use aedStaticRTF widget to display RTF text. It is also vital to note that if you wish to build the OpenGL test program, OpenGL libraries are a necessity.
Bear in mind that version 0.2.0 of aedGUI will no longer support SDL 1.2.5, so it's best to upgrade to SDL 1.2.6 or above before then. Overall, I found that aedGUI is a useful library that makes it easy for C++ developers to use a GUI in their projects, with its speed and non-invasive nature being its standout features.
