Aerobiz is a business simulation game released by KOEI in 1992 for Super Nintendo and Genesis consoles. Also known as Air Management: ÅŒzora ni Kakeru in Japan, players manage an airline company to compete with rivals and achieve success in the aviation industry.
The game offers players control over a range of aspects of the airline's development, including the name, investments, routes, and purchasing planes. However, players are at the mercy of world events such as politics and natural disasters, which impact the airline's operations. For example, if the player runs the airline out of Moscow, they can only initially purchase Soviet planes, and negotiating with Western nations is more challenging.
Players can also choose to get their company involved in peripheral businesses such as hotels. In August 1994, the sequel Aerobiz Supersonic was released for the SNES and Mega Drive/Genesis, providing players with even more options but retaining the same game play.
A third sequel, Air Management '96, was released only in Japan for the Sega Saturn and PlayStation. The game offered a wider range of options, but the core game play remained similar to the original game.
Overall, Aerobiz is a captivating business simulation game that challenges players to grow their airline while navigating a range of obstacles.
