Aeskulap is a software designed for medical image viewing purposes.
The impressive goal of this project is to create a full open source replacement for commercially available DICOM viewers. Aeskulap is based on the popular software packages gtkmm, glademm, and gconfmm which makes it easy to run the software under Linux. Ports of these packages are also available for different platforms, making it a breeze to port Aeskulap to any platform where these packages are available.
To use Aeskulap, ensure that you have the following software requirements: GTK+ version 2.6.x, gtkmm, libglademm, and gconfmm. These software requirements are very common and should not pose a problem during use.
This new release comes equipped with several new features that make the software even easier to use. These updates include an AboutDialog, fixes for crashes in SeriesView, improved multiframe control bugs, support for specific characterset display, now featuring lossy compression support (low bandwidth connections), new "walk through" browsing feature, autolayout on loading images from files, improved SCU conformance, and even added windowlevel presets.
Overall, Aeskulap is a top-of-the-line medical image viewer that is sure to impress even the most discerning medical professionals. Its advanced functionality, combined with its easy to use interface makes it a must-have software for anybody in the medical field.
