Agendaroids is a replica of the classic arcade game Asteroids meant for Agenda VR3 PDA devices.
Agendaroids offers a range of incredible features, such as smooth vector graphics, a dark-on-light display that is optimal for greyscale LCD screens, and a light-on-dark display that is perfect for monitors and color LCDs. The game looks amazing with the backlight on and features rotating asteroids, fast, table-based trigonometric functions, and Agenda-friendly key controls (as well as a PC keyboard alternative). The game also features sound effects (via piezo buzzer), pause and resume functionality (even if you quit), and much more.
To get started with Agendaroids, you'll need an Agenda VR3 PDA. The binary included in the archive was built for SNOW-kernel-based Agenda VR3s (MIPS Linux). The source code will compile for both SNOW and non-SNOW Agendas. If you're using a Zaurus or iPaq, the binary available in the archive was built for ARM Linux systems with 240x320 resolution and X-Window. Sharp Zauruses will require the X11 package to be installed. For desktop Linux and Unix users, the source code will compile for desktop X-Window environments.
This latest release of Agendaroids includes some exciting new features, such as inverted colors (white on black) for host and ARM targets. (-DINVERSE). The game also has an added Makefile target to build for ARM processors (e.g., iPaq or Zaurus running Linux and X-Window) ("make arm") - including support for the larger screen (-DQUARTER_VGA). Overall, Agendaroids is an amazing game that you won't want to miss out on. So why wait? Download it today and start playing!
