ajaxMyTop is a Web tool with an AJAX interface that monitors MySQL servers.
ajaxMyTop can be easily configured by editing the config.php file. The database settings are straightforward and require you to give the host, user, and password for your MySQL server. Additionally, there is a filters array that is used internally to make filtering code simpler.
It is strongly recommended to create a new user for ajaxMyTop with SUPER and PROCESS privileges instead of using an admin user. You can do this by using the GRANT command with the SUPER and PROCESS privileges. Also, you must grant the SELECT privilege to the ajaxmytop user for all databases where you need to explain threads.
There are known issues with the tool in Internet Explorer. The explanation panels cannot be clicked on. However, this can be easily resolved by using other browsers like Firefox.
ajaxMyTop also comes with several built-in shortcut keys that allow for easier accessibility. For instance, pressing / or ? will toggle shortcut key display, while pressing the spacebar will clear filter values. Other shortcuts include changing the refresh interval, using command filters, and applying custom filters like Host and User filters.
