Alma is a modeling and analysis software workshop.
Alma is geared towards object-oriented modelisation, such as defining classes and relations, and for migrating (aiding in converting) old code into newer languages. It serves two primary purposes – providing developers with a simplified software modeling workshop for smaller projects and simplifying the rewriting, ports, and encapsulation of non-OO code.
This tool is particularly useful to developers who need to integrate a code into a new project or rewrite a program in a new language. Alma provides the possibility to define and manipulate classes for the conceptor/architect.
Alma is capable of reading sources in several languages, such as C/C++, Java, Fortran 77, and IDL, among others. It can generate source-code for a variety of languages, including Java, Python, Delphi (Object Pascal), and SQL. Additionally, Alma can create new HTML documentation similar to the javadoc tool.
Overall, Alma is an efficient software that provides useful functionalities required for object-oriented modelisation and makes work easier for developers in rewriting programs into newer languages.
