Almara is a software that generates photo albums from directories of images. It simplifies the task of organizing and presenting your photos in a comprehensible way.
This software has some fantastic key features, including a quick photo album viewer and a tool for quick image manipulation. You can zoom, crop, rotate, scale, and more - lossless if possible. There is also a tool to quickly add descriptions to pictures and export them to the Web. All of this is done while preserving your original pictures untouched.
Although the Almara project has a lot of great features, there are still a few things that are missing but planned. This includes undo of operations recorded in the album file, quick catalog by groups (who is on the photo, who is the photo for), and automatic image quality recognition, image grouping, and automatic image rotation.
It's important to note that Almara is not just another picture viewer. It's a comprehensive software that offers a great variety of features. However, it's not a complex picture and video editor.
To use Almara, you'll need to meet a few requirements. You must have Gtk2 (>2.4) devel, GLib2 devel, Pango devel, Atk devel, ImageMagick (preferably >6.0) devel, libexif devel, libjpeg6b devel, TIFF devel, and PNG image loading devel.
Overall, I would recommend Almara to anyone looking for a powerful photo album software that makes it easy to organize and modify images.
