This first-person shooter game boasts a vivid and cartoonish ambiance for an immersive experience. Engage in tactical gameplay and complete objectives with a touch of whimsical fun.
One of the unique features of the game is that you don't need to aim precisely. The plasma pellet you shoot has an electrical property that disables or even destroys the positronic connections from the robot's CPUs. This means that you don't have to aim at the bullseye to destroy the robots.
Angstron 2: Droid Hunter was developed with mobile devices in mind, thus significantly lowering its hardware requirements. All its graphics are rendered in real-time and perform quite fast, thanks to the use of OpenGL and OpenGL ES ports. It has been tested and runs seamlessly on EZX mobile phones like Motorola A1200i, A1200e, A1200r, and E6. The game also supports Nokia N770, with pending tests on N800 and N810. Additionally, EeePC 701 2G Surf or higher is suitable, while desktops running on x86 Linux have been tested with Ubuntu 8.04. PocketPCs are also being tested, but it is worth noting that, in the developer's opinion, they suck anyway.
The developer encourages users whose platforms are not supported to grab the code from the website, compile, test it, and drop them a note, and they would like to add the package to the download page. Users can also send a video and a picture of the game running on their platforms. Overall, Angstron 2: Droid Hunter is a must-play for tactical shooter game lovers who also enjoy a great storyline.
