ANPOP is a software that allows retrieval of emails from a POP3 mail server and parsing of emails using MIME. It is a component object model that is easy to use.
The ANPOP software includes two primary COM objects: the POPMAIN object and the POPMSG object. The POPMAIN object is responsible for retrieving email from the mail server, while the POPMSG object is used to parse email structure.
With POPMAIN, you get support for all operations of the POP3 protocol. Additionally, you get access to the GetHeader method, which allows you to retrieve the header of a message from the mail server. This feature enables developers to create applications that allow users to preview email subject lines, senders, and other header information before downloading the entire email body from the server.
The POPMSG object comes with a host of rich functions to parse email structure and abstract specified information from email messages. This includes details like the Subject line, the sender, the date, recipients, and attachments. Additionally, this object effectively parses multiple parts of the message body and can handle message parts encoded by base64 or quoted-printable.
In the latest version of ANPOP, the POPMSG object even supports asynchronous operating mode and event firing completely, making it a powerful and flexible tool for developers.
