To operate APROC, users need ALSA and a soundcard. Once the software has been started, using arrow keys, PCM and its respective subdevice can be selected. By pressing i, s, h, or d, users can receive information about the status, software parameters, hardware parameters, or device information, respectively. In the end, the program can be terminated by pressing q.
With the option "-c card," users can specifically choose the soundcard (followed by the card number), instead of selecting the soundcard by the ALSA_CARD environment variable.
The ALSA proc tree stores all files pertaining to APROC, which is imperative to its operation.
One can rest assured that the software has been designed to shut down normally, indicated by an exit status of 0.
