Argo is a flexible software framework that allows for efficient control of multiple Xen instances on a single host. It is user-friendly and easy to customize, making it an ideal solution for managing virtual environments.
The monitoring system has two parts: a network server that receives instructions through a simple text-based protocol and performs actions on a local Xen host, as well as any number of clients written in any network-capable language that reflect the graphical user interface. At present, two customers have been created, one with PHP4 and the other with Perl + Gtk.
The latest version of Argo includes some new features. The network protocol has been updated in this release, allowing remote querying of the 'dmesg' output of the Xen host. Additionally, existing clients have been updated with minor bug fixes, while a new console client has been added to the distribution, making the system all the more user-friendly.
