Array-util is a compact software that allows users to extract data from a SmartArray controller conveniently.
Array-util has been extensively tested on a range of Compaq Proliant servers, including the 2500 with SmartArray 2DH, the 1600 with SmartArray 2DH, and the ML350 with an additional Smart Array 431-Controller (thanks to Christian Bauer). Other servers that have been tested include the DL380 with Internal SmartArray controller (thanks to Jason Sturgeon), the ML370 with Integrated SmartArray (thanks to Brian Rossmeisl), and the 5500 with a SmartArray 3200 among others.
However, there are some known bugs that should be considered. Blinking is not working on a DL380, and the tool does not list hotspares in array-util. Additionally, there is no progress indicator of the rebuild process. To use the Array-util project, you need to have the SmartArray patch installed. Overall, this is a useful tool for anyone who wants to keep track of their logical and physical drives and is compatible with a range of Compaq Proliant servers.
