Audio Extractor - Easily extract audio from your own DVDs AC3 and 16bit LPCM audio tracks
Version: 0.92Audio Extractor is a free and open source Mac application that will allow you to easily extract audio from your own DVDs AC3 and 16bit LPCM audio tracks, converting them into AIFF and/or WAV, with or without 44.1 kHz resampling.
Operating System: Mac OS X
For those who don't know, standard DVDs are divided into titles, each title containing one or more audio tracks (DTS, AC3/Dolby, LPCM) in different languages and with a variable number of channels. Each title is divided into chapters (with musical DVDs this means that every chapter can be a song).
Once the title and related audio track (only AC3 and 16bit LPCM allowed) have been chosen, you only need to decide what type of extraction you prefer (all chapters/songs or just one chapter/song); the application will then create a folder with the chosen name and inside it a number of files equal to the number of title's chapters.
1. VLC media player is required to enable encrypted DVD support because AE itself is not able to decrypt protected DVDs in any way. So, if you want to read your own encrypted DVDs, you have to install the VLC and tell Audio Extractor where to find it from the "VLC Path" menu.
2. Audio Extractor will not work if you will not also install the extra tools available in the download section.
