Auogg is network audio system software that plays Ogg/Vorbis files, providing simple and easy-to-use functionality.
To build Auogg on a typical system where the necessary libraries exist, simply execute the make command. The resulting Auogg executable should then be manually installed. However, if you plan on supplying your message catalogs, you may need to modify the Makefile to set the localedir variable appropriately to point it in the proper direction. By default, the localedir is /usr/share/locale. If you ever wish to turn off gettext support altogether, you can do so by changing the Makefile to define ENABLE_NLS with the value zero.
Unfortunately, there are a few issues that need to be addressed in the software. For example, the included Makefile is too small and lacks an install target. Additionally, although it's internationalized (mostly), the software currently lacks proper localization through message translation catalogs (i.e., gettext). While most of the strings have been properly labeled and the necessary functions called out from the main function, it hasn't yet been thoroughly tested to ensure that it works as intended.
