Graphics Mill for .NET now includes an add-on module that offers red-eye effect removal, available in both semi-automatic and manual modes. This extension adds significant functionality to the image processing component, Aurigmas.
In semi-automatic mode, the user selects the facial region, and the tool automatically searches for red eyes. Users can also configure the eye search sensitivity and redness threshold. One of the important features of the Red-Eye Removal Add-on is its ability to analyze facial features, recognizes and classifies the facial features and removes those that are least likely to be red-eyed. This algorithm prevents any color change in portions of an image that are not red eyes.
The Red-Eye Removal Add-on also returns coordinates of the area that has been processed, allowing users to create JPEG-optimized red-eye removal. This means that your application will be able to recompress only the red-eyed area while keeping all the rest of the JPEG image untouched.
Furthermore, Red-Eye Removal Add-on comes with a variety of code examples. These code examples include manual and semi-automatic red-eye removal Windows applications, manual and semi-automatic red-eye removal web applications using AJAX technology, and a JPEG-optimized red-eye removal tool that processes JPEG files and recompresses only red-eyed areas of the image.
Overall, the Red-Eye Removal Add-on is a versatile and efficient tool that helps users easily remove red-eye effects from their photos.
