Automanic is a game where players engage in vehicular combat until only one is left standing. It is a thrilling deathmatch experience that can be enjoyed by those who love cars and action-packed gameplay.
The installation process for Automanic involves using autotools, which may be a bit tricky for some users. The steps include configuring LDFLAGS and CXXFLAGS, which may require some extra knowledge of makefiles. If you need help, it's recommended to seek assistance from others.
Once installed, players will start suspended in mid-air for a short time before being dropped onto the map. The controls are fairly simple, with W or up to accelerate, S or down to brake, A or left to steer left, and D or right to steer right. Left-clicking will shoot Nova, while right-clicking will shoot Railgun. Players can also reset their car to the middle of the map with R or quit the game with the Escape button.
It's important to note that Automanic is still in version 0.01 and is quite limited at the moment. Players are only able to drive around and battle with two basic bots. Additionally, if the bots fall off the map, the game may crash, and exiting the game may result in a segfault and large core dump. Nonetheless, despite its limitations, Automanic is still a fun experience that fans of the genre should definitely check out.
