AZR3-JACK is a free software program that is based on JACK, and it is a port of the AZR-3 VST plugin.
AZR3-JACK features three sections, with two polyphonic sections containing 9 drawbars each and a monophonic bass section with 5 drawbars. MIDI channels 1 and 2 trigger the polyphonic sections, while the bass section responds to the lower keys on channel 1. Each section has its own sustain and percussion switches, as well as individual volume controls. The polyphonic sections also have separate vibrato settings.
All three sections are mixed together and sent through a distortion effect and rotating speakers simulator. The modulation wheel can be used to switch between fast and slow rotation, with the speeds themselves adjustable for the lower and upper frequencies.
To use AZR3-JACK, you'll need to have the JACK audio connection kit installed. If you're already a fan and user of AZR-3, you'll be happy to know that this port includes bug fixes that solve some #include issues found in certain versions of GCC.
Overall, AZR3-JACK is a strong choice for anyone in search of a versatile and high-quality tonewheel organ plugin.
