BeatrIX 2005.1 Linux is a free, lightweight operating system with a size of less than 200 MB.
Operating as a live CD, it has a feature that does not touch the hard drive or any other operating system you have. With the live CD function, you can simply insert it and re-boot, and within two minutes you will be surfing the Internet, writing letters, sending e-mails, and instant-chatting from a CD that is the size of a beer coaster.
BeatrIX is specifically designed differently than any other system. It is Linux, but it certainly does not look like it. BeatrIX has a computer desktop that only has four icons that are easily recognizable by those who have recently used a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer. This means anyone can use it with or without assistance, and it took a year to release the first version because user-friendliness and stability were the topmost priorities.
