BeComposed is software that allows users to visualize Quartz composition for iTunes. This tool combines music and visuals for a spectacular sensory experience.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Frédéric Grasset, Christoph Vogelbush, and Lionel Esteban for providing invaluable help and information. Also, a shout-out to Maud for helping us come up with the composition name.
The latest version of BeComposed, version 1.4, comes with a host of new features. With iVisualize 1.5 or above, you can use the new inputs by the mouse and keyboard. We've fully remade the CD box textures from new scans. They are more realistic, shiny, and display better quality, precision, and detail, including the plastics guide that maintains the booklet, shadows, fingerprints, and stripes.
With this new version, covers change with transitions, and three are available. A new help menu has been added, and you can click and drag the mouse to visualize the scene from any angle (Freeview). Furthermore, the CD box reflections disappear and deactivate when viewing from below, and an alert message appears when the full-screen mode turns on. This allows you to know that Freeview function is not available due to iTunes restriction.
We have updated the way we determine that only visible effects are activated on the view. Moreover, the CD now ejects and reinserts when a new track starts. We have optimized the code, and the display bug of the information (Show information) has been corrected. Many thanks to Frédéric Grasset for his help.
BeComposed has several input options, including activating or deactivating the Y mouse axe when using Freeview, displaying the cover transition effect, enabling the display of help when the composition is launching, a toggle to display an alert message on fullscreen, and a choice of cover transition effects (three available, try them). Additionally, you can show or mask the help menu using the keyboard key h, and stop or start the autorotation scene using the keyboard key s.
To use BeComposed, you must have the iVisualize plugin installed on your iTunes.
