Software for private voice chat and instant messaging with client/server components. Examples available in Visual Basic 2005 and Delphi 7.
To further enhance its security features, the SDK provides two distinct encryption modes which include symmetric encryption with a shared secret key and asymmetric encryption with 1024-bit public / private keys. For optimal user management, the server is responsible for authenticating online peers, and all peers that are connected to a server form a single private community.
Fine-grained access control is possible through a collection of user-oriented permissions. These grant access control privileges to system resources and services in a flexible and secure manner. The voice stream is highly compressed to produce the best possible sound, particularly over a limited bandwidth connection.
The encoder also includes a voice activity detector with an adjustable trigger level, which assists in distinguishing between regions with normal speech activity and those with silence or background noise. It equally boasts of a robust double talk detector that ensures significant echo suppression.
Users can easily mute recording and playback, while incoming and outgoing audio data are available in raw PCM format for visualization within the application. The software notifies users about signal overloading and transmission delays, and two distinct kinds of text information – alert, and chat messages – can be exchanged between peers.
For direct file exchange between peers, the SDK also supports file transfer capability. BigSpeed Voice Chat SDK utilizes an elegant event-driven paradigm for easy integration into Windows applications. Special attention is given to provide a responsive user interface while avoiding multithreading problems. Sample applications are provided for Visual Basic 2005 and Delphi 7. Overall, the BigSpeed Voice Chat SDK makes voice chat deployment convenient and secure.
