Block Drop is a challenging software game that requires you to think creatively about 2D space. Featuring 49 unique blocks, this falling block variant offers non-timed gameplay, allowing you to pause and study the playing field at any time.
One of the unique features of Block Drop is the ability to slide blocks sideways to fill in gaps left behind by previous blocks. You can also use arrow keys to move, rotate, and flip blocks as they fall. When you complete rows, they are removed from the game and the blocks from above fall to take their place.
There are many interesting features in Block Drop, including the use of bombs to remove blocks, the ability to cancel troublesome blocks, and a top sweep to remove the top 4 rows. You can adjust the difficulty level to challenge yourself even further. The hardest level is particularly challenging with 49 unique blocks.
If you want a little extra help, you can turn on "Cisco's Cave" to see the next block, but you'll earn fewer points. To get the best graphics, it's recommended to play on a Pentium or 80486 system with at least 256 colors and 1.1 Meg on hard drive. The ray-traced blocks look particularly stunning with high or true-color graphics.
