This game is a modern version of Dynablaster and Atomic Bomberman, with an arcade-style interface. It offers similar gameplay, strategies, and graphics from the original versions, but with added features such as power-ups, multiplayer mode, and improved controls.
One of the new concepts in Bombermen is the vitality of players. This means that players won't straight-up die when they're hit by a bomb's fire; the amount of damage they take depends on several factors. This concept introduces another new feature: the multiple fire concept. This means that if the fire from multiple bombs reach an object in the game, that object (like a wall or another player) will take even more damage.
The plural name of Bombermen emphasizes the game's strong network support and multiplayer features. This includes support for up to 4 players on one computer, unlimited network computers connected to a game, optimized network bandwidth, and even network latency handling and latency settings - all amazing features that make playing with friends and family easy and fun.
Bombermen offers highly-configurable game rules that let you tailor the game to your own preferences. The game is also open and graphical, so anyone can create a new graphic theme, which will be available to all users to choose from. The application window is freely sizable, and supports full-screen mode and real-time image scaling.
Finally, Bombermen is fully documented in every way possible. The documentation includes specifications, development documents like architecture, concepts, algorithms, and classes, as well as UML use case diagrams, state charts, and class diagrams. It also has a full JavaDoc and presentations (although only in Hungarian).
