Bombic is a Linux-compatible clone of the classic video game Dynablaster.
What does this game have to offer? Well, you can play the traditional single player mode where you must complete various missions within the game. There's an underlying storyline to keep things interesting. Furthermore, players can engage in deathmatch mode with their friends, although network support is not yet available so all players have to be present in the same location. Alternatively, players can also participate in cooperative mode.
The game has been designed with SDL, meaning that SDL, SDL_image, SDL_ttf, and SDL_mixer are required for it to run smoothly. Sounds are included within the game, however, they can be slow on some machines; therefore, they have been commented out in the source code. The game has been translated into several languages including Czech, English, German and Polish. Although, it is worth noting that the translation model is not designed too well but it still functions.
Overall, Bombic project is a great addition to your games collection, especially for those looking for a nostalgic retro game feel.
