Transform your Wiimote movements into music with this free and open source software.
The installation process is straightforward and neat. Firstly, users are to open the installation file to get started. Afterward, they can drag the Boogiepants application into their Applications folder and also drag the Boogiepants folder into their home folder (located at /Users/[username]).
Running the Boogiepants application requires users to connect the wiimote and nunchuck before launching. Once launched, there will be a "boogiepants" menu item at the top of the user's screen and a Java icon in the Dock. Only these two items will appear. To establish a wireless connection, users can press the 1 and 2 buttons on the wiimote simultaneously, which can be a bumpy process that may fail the first couple of times. If this happens, they can kill the application and return to step two.
Afterwards, users may start Pd-extended and open the file located in the Boogiepants folder at boogiepants/pd/oscserv.pd. The software is a great tool for users looking to experiment with their dance motions and create a unique experience between music and movement.
