BrainCurses is a software project that replicates the board game Mastermind.
To make a guess, the player selects 4 colors from the 6 different colored pegs available: red, white, blue, green, yellow, and purple. Once entered, the game displays the colored pegs in the center panel, indicating which of the player's guesses are correct. A white peg on the left panel is given for each correct color, and a red peg is given for each color in the correct position.
It is important to note that the order of the white and red pegs does not correlate with the order of the user's guessed pegs. However, if there are any red pegs, they will always be shown first. To move to the next field, the player must press the "enter" key, not the spacebar. If the player misspells a word, the game will go back and wait for the player to retry and spell it correctly.
This release includes several updates to the BrainCurses project's backend. The project is working on setting up information exchange between Answer and Guess classes without the need for a client program, a critical improvement that will enable better comparison and analysis of user guesses to random numbers.
Overall, BrainCurses is an engaging and challenging game that requires strategic thinking, problem-solving, and a bit of luck. Although there may be some bugs to iron out during gameplay, the overall experience is enjoyable and rewarding.
