Breaktime SME v2 software helps enforce H & S policy by prompting employees to take regular breaks from computers, reducing RSI complaints.
Breaktime v2 provides a solution to this problem by encouraging users to take regular breaks from their computers at set times. The software keeps a log of whether the user accepted or rejected the break, and if accepted, the start bar is removed, preventing the user from accessing their PC for the duration of the break.
This software has programmed intervals based on Health and Safety Guidelines that coincide with user's workloads. In case an employee needs to claim RSI damages, the software helps the employer prove that the workstation design met Health and Safety Guidelines, that the employee attended posture training, and the employer attempted to enforce regular breaks from the workstation.
With a user base of over 23,000 users worldwide, Breaktime v1 proved its efficacy and establish its credibility in the market. Based on its popularity, it has been restructured on .Net architecture that allows companies to introduce different features for clients of varying sizes. Breaktime v2 is available in two versions, Personal, and SME that meet the needs of both small and the middle level companies.
For large corporations, a Corporate Version of the software is currently under development and is scheduled for release in Quarter 4 of 2007.
