BuildAMon is a software tool that empowers users to create custom monitors for their systems. It provides a range of graphics and sensors that can be easily integrated and used to build a tailored monitoring solution.
Some key features of BuildAMon include display of top system information (e.g. username, hostname, kernel, uptime), users currently logged in, CPU load graph with top processes, CPU usage and speed in MHz bars, CPU temperature graph, GPU temperature for Nvidia GPUs, temperature bars for CPU, motherboard, and air, HDD temperature bars (using hddtemp or smartmontools), fan speed bars, memory and swap usage bars, disk usage bars, network graphs with IP address, Wlan signal level graph, and gateway text. Additionally, you can access Smart information about your hard disks.
Regarding graphics, there are currently four different backgrounds and a set of sensorbars and icons. If you finished building your own monitor, it is easy to change the design; replace the image filenames in the text editor to acquire other designs. There are four example themes for the four basic designs.
BuildAMon requires SuperKaramba and KDE. In this release, we have fixed some bugs and made improvements to graphs' background.
