The Bulk Meter Flow and Operations project offers a water meter management tool that operates through a web-based application. It enables the user to access regular water meter readings.
To use BMFO, you will need a web browser like Internet Explorer or Mozilla, and the address (URL) of a BMFO server. If you're not sure about these requirements, you can always contact your BMFO administrator for help.
For a standalone system, you can start the BMFO application from the Start Menu or with a Shortcut on your Desktop. Once you have everything set up, you can start using BMFO to manage your meter readings.
To get started, simply open BMFO by clicking on your Desktop shortcut or entering the correct URL in your browser. Make sure to adjust the URL if you're not working on the BMFO server.
Next, you need to log in with the user name "bmfo" and password "bmfo." After you've successfully logged in, click on the "Meter Selection" link and select the meter location you want to work on.
Click on the "Meter Data Entry" link to enter the meter reading. Once you've entered the reading, click on the "Save" button. Congratulations! You've successfully entered your first meter reading.
If you're interested in the latest updates, you'll be pleased to know that this release has fixed some minor errors, adjusted version numbers, and added copyright information. The new release is available in the doc/en/bmfo_administration_guide.xml and doc/en/bmfo_user_guide.xml files.
Overall, Bulk Meter Flow and Operations is a great tool if you're looking for an efficient and user-friendly way to manage your water meter readings.
