BurnInTest can thoroughly exercises PC hardware in the shortest period of time so intermittent or hidden problems are found before they turn into a disaster.
BurnInTest is an easy-to-use software tool that simultaneously exercises all of the major components of a computer to test for endurance and reliability.
The user can select hardware components to test and individually adjust the load placed on each one via slide bars. Each test reports results to its own window and results are summarised along with any errors detected in the main program window.
A computer's major components (including CPUs, raw and formatted hard drives, tape / CD / DVD / Blu-Ray drives, sound and graphics cards, RAM, network connections and ports) can be tested at the same time. Results can be saved to disk, printed or exported as a graphical image. Other features include periodic logging, a temperature monitoring interface and max CPU temperature test, and timed test runs.
BurnInTest also gives users access to detailed system information including as the CPU data (such as amount of CPU cores and physical CPUs, CPU features, clock speed and L2 cache size);
Physical and Virtual Memory read outs and advanced Graphics Card information. Pre-defined quick tests, context sensitive right-click menus and hotkeys for common tasks means that stress-testing your machine has never been easier.
BurnInTest is also available with serial, parallel and USB loopback plugs to facilitate port testing and features comprehensive online help and in-built help files.
All purchases of BurnInTest 7 include 12 months of free technical support and major / minor software upgrades.
BurnInTest is suited to computer enthusiasts, systems integrators and manufacturers or anyone who wants to cost effectively evaluate their system.
Version 8.0.1025: Reporting of Windows 10 has been added. Initial testing with Windows 10 Technical preview completed. Corrected a possible crash bug in the sound loopback test. Correction to the Advanced Network test to allow more than one Endpoint IP to be used in a test.
Version 6.0.1029: System information for second generation Intel i3, i5 and i7 CPUs (Sandy Bridge) has been improved.
Version 6.0.1027: Updated graphics card names in the system information pane; CPU speed measurements for overclocked Intel Core2 CPU models and VIA CPU model names are now correctly reported; and fixed a bug which caused a startup crash for a particular system.
Version 6.0.1026: Corrected a bug where the frames in the 3D test would not change after about 16.8 million frames, hence the same frame was rendered and displayed (appearing not to update); Temperature monitoring support added for more hard disk types.
Version 6.0.1025: Corrected an uncommon crash involving network tests; Fixed a crash when BurnInTest is with WinPE with Intel CPUs supporting Turbo mode; System information has been updated for new AMD and Intel CPU specs; Corrected the CPU multiplier & base clock for the AMD Phenom II X6; Minor help file updates.
Version 6.0.1023: Improvements to the CPU frequency measurement on startup, the raw disk test, the Sound Loopback test when the CPU is under load, and the sound loopback test window display; Corrected an "Out of Memory" error for the Sound loopback test; and many other changes!
Version 6.0.1021: Correction to the reporting of Intel Turbo mode CPU speeds; Correction to memory device type for some ROM devices; Bug fix for an error which caused the USB test not to complete where no loopback plugs are detected; Added new 2D video memory test and 3D test logging; Minor help file improvements.
Version 6.0.1019: Corrected crash for systems with >8 Memory slots and memory slot error information; Improved CPU information for Intel Westmere;Improved the Maximum CPU Temp. test; CPU SSE4.2 test can now be selected individually; Fix to allow all CPU core temperatures to be reported (bug with Intel Core i5 CPU).
Version 6.0.1018: Fixed a BSoD on starting BurnInTest on Core i5 and newer Core i7 CPUs with Windows 2008 (only for BurnInTest V6.0.1014 and later); Minor logging improvements.
