CartStart is a three-part shopping cart software project.
The second component constitutes a server that operates as a chatroom to transfer extensive product information from the server to the shopping cart client locally residing with the user. The third and final component is the shopping cart client that maintains an updated list of chosen products from multiple websites while also including bookmarks, balances, and more. Ultimately, the shopping cart client makes the ultimate purchase decision.
The basic server software is cross-platform, utilizing Common C++ from Open Source Telecom, and is compatible with STL and standard C++. In addition, Browser software, JavaScript, and PHP work seamlessly with Mozilla and Explorer, with the browser interface serving as a prime example.
Although no detailed application is currently available, all the necessary code is available for expansion to more significant applications. However, PHP must possess enabled sockets to use CartStart. The requisite for CartStart includes Apache, PHP, Open Source Telecom, and a browser.
This current version of CartStart includes initial tasks to update carts, logging in, and product information, serving as a proof of concept in which product listings transfer from webpages to the targeted shopping cart client accurately.
In a nutshell, CartStart is a brilliant shopping cart project that offers a comprehensive framework for online shopping. A definite recommendation to online shopping enthusiasts.
