Software Summary: This software presents a novel card game featuring unique picture cards.
The main objective of the game is to win as many individual battles as possible to score points, eventually leading to the most significant point tally by the end of the game. Additionally, there are four different arena cards and 14 different character cards, each with different ratings depending on the arenas. For example, a King card has a higher rating in the Castle arena than the Battleground arena.
When playing against the computer, the game starts with an arena card randomly selected, and each player is dealt five cards. The objective of the game is to play the highest-ranking card in your hand for the corresponding arena. At the end of each hand, a new card is drawn from the deck until no more cards are left. However, if an arena card is drawn, the current arena may be changed.
The player's cards are displayed at the bottom of the screen, with one space left for an additional card. The player must take a card from the card pile and select the square box next to their card's name to play it. The card is then displayed in the window below the player's name on the battlefield. The computer player then selects their card to play, which is displayed in the opposite window. Whichever player wins the battle gets awarded some points.
The winner of each battle takes control of the board, playing their card first. The game ends when all cards in the pile are drawn, or neither player can play any more cards in their hand. In the end, the player with the highest point tally becomes the winner of the game. Castlequest has an engaging gameplay, and the characters' unique abilities make the game more intriguing.
