- become root
- unpack the files ("tar -xvzf cb3rob-identd-1.2.tgz")
- chdir to the cb3rob-identd directory ("cd cb3rob-identd")
- type "make install"
- add the service to your inet daemon (inetd or xinetd) config file
- restart inetd or xinetd
